Single Barrel DTL Results

I’ve not seen so many shooters enter this competition for a long time. There was some lovely shooting with many scores vying for a trophy. Glenn Thompson, Jason Potts, Joe Tomlin and Karl Taylor all shot 42×50 for the Senior title. Joe Tomlin took it on count back. Veterans John Woolacott and Frank Owen tussled for the title but John won it for the second year. Thank you to everyone who entered.

Jonathan Essam first Winner of If You’re In : You May Win!

A random score from 1 to 100 has been chosen for; Sporting, Skeet and All Round and 1 to 50 for Sportrap. The prize is 250 cartridges. All entrants to these competitions are entered into the draw. The first draw for this was at the county championships for Sporting. The random score for this event was 57. Jonathan was closest with his score of 59. Congratulations Jonathan!

Sporting Competition plus If you’re in: You may win!

It’s the county sporting championship this Sunday 5th June. Jo Smith, Louise Smith, Mick Russell and Henry Piercy were last year’s winners. This competition carries an ‘If you’re in: You may win’ prize for one lucky entrant. 250 cartridges are up for grabs. See Marty to get your name booked onto a squad if you want a chance to win.

Skeet Doubles Competition

Shooting over the weekend allowed for a few more guns to take part in this. Marty in the office has mastered the new CPSA shoot reporting programme and the information for this was published live on the CPSA website. I am sure that this will prove to be an interesting development for followers of competitions. Universal Trench

Tony Clayton was the only competitor for the county competition but I’m sure it didn’t dent his enjoyment of the event. Well done for winning the Veteran’s Trophy. Thanks go to John Nightingale at Rugby and District Trap Club for hosting this competition for us.

Colts and Juniors Shoot for Free

Northants Colt and Junior shooters can now enter the Sporting, Skeet, All Round and Sportrap championship competitions B/O for free. All you have to do is bring along their gun and cartridges, book onto the competition and the county committee will pay their entry fee. (CPSA levy £2 still applies). This does not affect entry into the prize draw. If you’re in : you may win!
