The county Team Manager is selected by the county committee based upon their standing within the discipline, and willingness to undertake the role. The selection of the individual team members is solely at the Team Manager’s discretion. The Team Manager is not obliged to shoot in the inter-county competitions, however an active role within the team is preferable.
The key points of the role are;
To form discipline dependent teams of members to represent the county at regional inter-county and national inter-county competitions as desired.
To liaise with the county committee regarding contact details of willing team members if necessary.
To encourage sportsmanlike conduct at all times within the teams.
To organise and encourage team practice days in their given discipline if desirable and practicable.
To deliver information (and photographs where possible) to the Secretary for inclusion in the county column within PULL! Magazine on a timely basis. (pambairstow58@gmail.com)
To attend County Committee meetings, if requested and practicable, to ensure first hand feedback to members and disseminate any news pertinent to the smooth running and decision making processes of the committee.
To ensure the safety; to, from, and during the competition, of any unaccompanied under 18 Junior or Colt team members.
To escalate any issues which impact the teams or the sport to the County Officers for resolution.
